Turn on the ruler permanently

This is a little thing that has been pestering me for a while.  I am using SQL2008, and BIDS.  Is there a way to set it so that when designing the layout of a report the ruler is always on?  It defaults to off, and I can't seem to find an appropriate setting under Tools/Options to default to on.  Thanks.

Sorry man.  It looks like this isn't a possibility in 2008...  Good news is, you're not the only one that finds this annoying, so maybe that'll be an option in the next release.
