Hi Forum,

 

I have a task where i have 3 levels to group  Hospital , Doctor ,Patient

so in the report i needed to create a group for 

Hospital Name :Hospital

Doc Name: Doc

            Patient Name : XXXX

 

In the table first column i need to have the 

Hospital Name :Hospital

Doc Name: Doc

How do i group them with patient

I'm not sure exactly what you need to know. Do you know how to add grouping levels? Do you know how to add the grouping between Hospital and Dr, but not patient? Maybe the patient is the detail row?

Yes i do, and like you said the patient will be in the details , 

I have a table and created a group for Hospital and DR, according to the requirement .

I have attached the screenshot , im wanted to know if im going the correct way

I would remove the groupings that you have now. Right click on the detail row and choose Add Group / Row Group / Parent Group.  Do not choose Adjacent Above or Below.  For the first one group by doctor and select Add group header. Right click one row above the details and Add Group / Row Group / Parent Group. Group by hospital and select Add Group header.  I often delete the two columns on the left that overlap. It depends on how I want the report to look.

So, now you should see the gropings overlap. Add the Hospital fields to the top row inside the grouping. Add the doctor fields to the middle row in the grouping. Add the patient fields to the detail row.
