SQL Agent Hungs with SSIS Batch File

I am trying to execute a batch file from an execute package task in SSIS through sql agent and I am not getting a response from sql. The job appears to run forever.

I also try to open an exe from sql agent but I am getting the same response. The batch files I am executing runs a exe.

I did the following but still no luck:

Went into IE -> ITools -> Internet Options -> Security -> Local Intranet -> Sites and added the server where the executable is.

Any idea on what I should do?
