Well, there are a lot of solutions to do what you need need. Another approach is by script task as shown by Nayan.
You link us to a solution. Instead of that, can you show us what kind of problems are you facing, or erros, so we can debug your problem and try to help you?
I have an ETL process that uses this exact method, I believe I even read the same blog. You are going to have to elaborate on the problems you are having.
[File System Task] Error: An error occurred with the following error message: "Could not find file '\WorkingFolder\Restaurant Master20120110.csv'.".
this is the error i got when i tried to get
I used 2 queries in 2 DFT to extract the results into 2 .csv files
fileA20120111.csv and fileB20120111.csv these to file are placed in 2 different folders
FolderA holding ---fileA20120111.csv
FolderB holding ---fileB20120111.csv
this part im done .
the final step is FolderC which should hold fileA20120111.csv with a different name filenewname20120111.csv
i tried the example from Rafael but the error i got was file not found. Can you give me the steps to modify example to suit my task
that looks like the path is malformed. Can you start by checking the path produced? maybe with a script component using msgbox to see what is the variable value.
Make sure your file "Restaurant Master20120110.csv" exists in the desired path and it has space in the middle.
Check this out - http://www.bidn.com/blogs/KeithHyer/bidn-blog/2465/copy-and-rename-a-file-in-ssis-using-the-file-system-task maybe it will help.
Hope it does!
