I am trying to use a Pivot Table against a cube. When I use PTs against non-cube data I can drop any column into the Value window.  But with a cube only measures can be dropped there. This makes sense but I want to count a dimension item but I can't even change a measure to a count. It only allows SUM? Do PTs work different with cubes. Must I add Count calculations to my cube?

Yes, I think you're on the right track in that you need to add a count to your measures.

HTH,
