Hi everyone,
Could anyone please point me to a nice a clean overview of the way Sharepoint can be used to deliver BI to users?
I am quite experienced in MSSQL and the BI part of it, have some Cognos and MStrategy experience, Alphablox also, but had no exposure to Sharepoint.
Thank you
VAL
Here are a couple links that show how to deploy reporting services reports to sharepoint. The second link is very detailed. It even shows how to create a report using reporting services then deploy it to sharepoint. http://blah.winsmarts.com/2007-12-SharePoint_and_SQL_Server_Reporting_Services_-_Authoring_a_simple_report.aspx and http://mosshowto.blogspot.com/2009/02/reporting-services-2008-report.html
A good intro/overview is right here on the Office site
This covers the whole breadth of BI features, including dashboards, excel services, reporting services
The Microsoft BI site is a pretty good starting place as well

Try to look at the new SharePoint 2010 platform; a sample link could be
http://sharepoint2010.microsoft.com/product/capabilities/Insights/Pages/top-features.aspx
just to have an overview of the available BI features

Hi
I did a webinar, showing Reporting Services in Sharepoint 2007, and PerformancePoint Services in Sharepoint 2010
It's linked here :
