Mock-Up Applications for dashboard/report designs

Many of my projects are for executives that are hungry for BI, particularly the C level person that wants a dashboard.  The problem I've faced several times is:  "I know I want a dashboard and I want to see these metrics and KPIs, but I don't know how I want it to look and feel, can you put something together that shows me some options?"

I work purely with the Microsoft stack, SSAS and PPS(SharePoint) so graphics that are Microsoft control centric would be best for me.

I have two that I have used but am curious to know what everyone on this community has used or recommends, or can comment on the below:  \

The 2 are:

- Expression Studio Ultimate (pricey, but includes everything I need)

- Balsamiq (functionality is very limited, have about 4 chart graphics that are not very configurable)

I have used a website called http://dashboardspy.com/ to find examples to show executives.  It has a lot of examples of different industry dashboard types.  It's usually a good starting point so you don't have to build a whole dashboard and then find out it's not what they're looking for.

Thanks Devin.  So based on this link, do you just ask them to show you what they want it to look like?  Maybe combining a few?

Exactly.  I usually give them some examples of what others in the same industry are doing.
