Refreshing your Knowledge - Setting Legends in a Chart

This is a little refresh in how to set up the Legend in a Chart; I hope you find this helpful.

From the design view, right click the Legend and select Legend Properties.

In the Legend Properties dialog box, in the Legend Position diagram, you can click on your
desired position option button, and then, in the Layout drop-down list, you can
experiment with several selections: Column, Row, Auto Table, Wide Table and Tall Table.

By default, the legend displays in a table andexpands horizontally or vertically according to the chart space available. You
can force the legend to expand vertically by choosing Tall Table or to expand
horizontally by choosing Wide Table. You can also require the legend to display
as a single column or row by choosing Column or Row respectively.

Notice the other pages available in the Legend Properties dialog box to set properties for
legend visibility, font appearance, the color and style of fill, border, and
shadow effects.
