What's Next for Foundation

WOW!  I can’t believe it’s that time already.  The Foundation is now holding interviews for our upcoming class that will be held the week of December 5^th.  There have been a lot of great things happening with the Foundation in the past 4 months.

1. Our classes went from being held twice a year to every quarter and now they are held every other month. 
2. Brian Knight and I were interviewed by NPR News which will be airing soon.  Also part of that interview was one of our student’s, Mitch Davis (Honorably discharged from the Navy).  Mitch was interviewed because NPR is interested in how the service men and women are dealing with the transition of being an active member of the armed forces to being an active civilian trying to find employment.   Mitch was one of our students from our October class, who I am excited to announce is currently being considered by a very large organization located downtown Jacksonville.
3. One of the goals of the Foundation is to teach the students a skill set that will help them find employment in the I.T. field.  As part of our efforts, the Foundation has partnered with several businesses in the community who are also interested helping the students get placed in a position.  The representatives of the local businesses come to the class on the last day and perform technical interviews with the students and consider them for employment.
