Subtitled: What a long strange year it has been.
Last April, I left my position as a database developer with Fellowship Technologies to become a full-time employee doing BI Consulting for a company called WaveTwo. For a number of reasons, this was made clear to not have been the right time to make that move and after 4 months, I received an offer from Fellowship Technologies to return and help them with a new reporting strategy they were implementing. I felt compelled to do so as I felt strongly that it was where I was being called.
With that being said, I recently felt very strongly that I needed to return the the BI arena and began the process of locating opportunities and setting up interviews. During that process, out of the blue, I received a call from WaveTwo. After meeting my boss over there for coffee and discussing their need for a dedicated BI resource, I knew I couldn't refuse.
Although I am leaving so many great people over at Fellowship Technologies, I look forward to hearing about their continued growth and success.
I am looking forward to the new opportunities and adventures that have been placed on my path and I look forward to sharing my experiences and solutions/tips/tricks I find along the way with everyone here.
If this past year has been any indicator, stay tuned - It's going to be one crazy ride!
Congratulations Jeff! I've left a firm for another and then returned to the prior firm, just doing that seemed quite rare.
You must be getting dizzy. Good luck, I hope it all works out for you.
Keep us at BIDN.com informed! I, too, and going to do BI consulting work, so I plan to share my experiences as well!
