Stop Splashing with -NoSplash

Many times when I'm teaching a class or working with a group, they express frustration at the load time for SSMS or BIDS.

 This is easily optimized by Using the NoSplash Command.

All you need to do is Right Click on the application for either BIDS or SSMS and select PROPERTIES.

 Then add <-nosplash> to the end of the path as shown below:

I found that if I used VMWare Player (yeah the low end version) and had it convert the VHM, it ran just fine (Server 2008 x64). I was really surprised. You cannot create new VMs with VMWare Player, but I think when you open a virtual machine file created with Virtual PC (that of course won't boot), VMWare Player will turn into a bootable machine it can use.
